Ice Reeds are from the Killenure shores of Lough Ree, a large lake on Ireland’s longest river, the Shannon. In summer time, lush green colonies of reed provide homes to the vibrant birdlife of the inner lakes of Lough Ree. In winter, all green is gone and only these brownish flower stalks remain.
